Conclusion
This is a brief outline of a new conception of Islam which is, in fact, a new conception of religion as a whole. It is not intended as a comprehensive review and authoritative answer to all questions regarding the work of the Republican Brothers. It is hoped, however, that this short introduction will provoke thought and be the basis of future study and discussion.
As it may have been observed, the emphasis is upon the universal aspects of Religion, that is to say, what is shared by all religions and creeds. It is true that Moslems shall continue to have their own religious rites and rituals, and so shall Christians and Jews. But public affairs would be organized in such way, that equality between Moslems and non-Moslems, between men and women shall prevail in a democratic and socialist state. But the object of such organization is to create the necessary climate for every individual to practice his faith in an intelligent and purposeful manner. We believe that the Islamic rites, in the tradition of the Prophet Mohamed Salla Allaho Alaihi Wa Salam, is the best and most effective way of achieving inner peace within one’s own self, and thereby attaining absolute individual freedom. We hope to convince others of the validity of our belief. But we proposed it by civilized and orderly discussion, and by setting the example which will tempt others to follow our path. The same course of action is open to everybody else, in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
