Preface to the Second Edition
This book was first published in March 1960, during a time when our people were under the burden of "military rule." May God spare them from ever recalling it with any fondness, and may He remove from all nations still afflicted by similar regimes the dark cloud of their tyranny and ignorance.
The book was released shortly after the incident of expelling three Republican students *1 from the Islamic Institute and the severe distortion of Republican Ideology that accompanied their expulsion. We attempted to correct this distortion but were denied opportunities to publish or deliver lectures in clubs and educational institutions.
The first edition of this book was highly condensed and compact - compressed to its utmost limits. Nevertheless, it remains the "mother book" of the Republican Party. It contains everything we want to say about Islam, leaving nothing new to add except further elaboration and expansion of what has been presented concisely.
Now that the first edition has been out of print for quite some time, we present this second edition without making any changes, except for adding subheadings to assist the reader. These headings serve as a guide, making it easier to follow the intricate meanings without fatigue or boredom.
May God alone grant that this book heralds the return of Islam and serves as a pillar for its revival. He is indeed All-Hearing and All-Responsive.
